| Goals | The aim of this course; to examine the research process conducted with children (determining the problem, data collection, data analysis and interpreting the results), review main research methods (experimental, descriptive, correlational and cause-comparative) and provide students techniques such as doing literature review, collecting data, analyzing data and preparing a research report to be able to do a research related to early childhood education. |
| Course Content | Basics od scientific research, scientific method, research types stages of research process, ethical issues in research, defining problem, research problem, variables, hypothesis, sampling methods, sample size, data collection, measurement, reliability, validity, survey, observation, interview, getting data from children, quantitative research, qualitative method, reporting. |
