Goals The aim of this course is to gain the ability to demonstrate basic counseling knowledge and skills at an advanced level. Topics such as psychological helping skills, therapeutic relationship, counselor roles, client responsibilities, case conceptualization according to counseling theories will be covered. Within the scope of the course, it is aimed that students will gain counseling experience with the individual and receive formative feedback on the sessions they have conducted.
Course Content Application of counseling skills and techniques, stages of the counseling process, initiation, execution and termination of the counseling process, use of techniques, ethics in counseling.

2 Carries out the process of establishing a relationship with the client effectively.
3 Effectively identifies the problems that bring the client to the counseling process.

5 Conceptualizes the client's problems in the theoretical framework.
6 Creates goals for the problem together with the client.
7 Determines appropriate intervention options to address the problem.
8 Assists clients in solving their problems with appropriate intervention methods.
9 Conducts the termination process effectively.
10 Recognizes and fulfills his/her duties and responsibilities as a psychological counselor.
11 Recognizes the importance of the supervision process.
12 Gains awareness as a counselor both in the counseling process and in the supervision process.
13 Determines his/her personal style in the counseling process.
