Goals To provide basic information about different types of microorganisms, their cell functions, their genetic structures and about methods of fighting harmful microbes.

1 Students know the cell structure, functioning and proliferation of different groups of microorganisms.
2 Students gain the ability to grow and test microorganisms in different media and to observe them with a microscope in lab conditions.
3 Students know the basic functioning of antibiotics and vaccines.
