Goals To understand the general features of Old Uyghur Turkish. To make people understand the importance of Ancient Uyghurs in Turkish history. To be able to examine the inscriptions and manuscripts from the ancient Uyghurs. To make students understand the vocabulary of relevant works. To show the origins of words and their course in historical dialects.

1 By examining the Turkish language in terms of structure and morphology, he/she gains the ability to use it correctly and understandably.
2 He/she evaluates the texts of the Turkish language and literature from the beginning to the present day in terms of literature and philology.
3 He/she acquires the theoretical and practical background necessary for the interpretation of historical and modern texts.
4 He/she develops the ability to think, criticize and express ideas on how to analyze a text.
5 He/she gains the basic knowledge and skills to conduct academic research individually and as a team in the field of Turkish language and literature.
6 He/she acquires the skills to create, organize, store, present and share information in the field of Turkish language and literature by using information technologies.
7 He/she knows the alphabets of historical and contemporary Turkish dialects and makes philological studies by translating texts written with these alphabets into Turkish of Turkey.
8 He/she gains the awareness of scientific ethics and responsibility and gains the confidence to express his/her critical thoughts in a constructive manner.
9 He/she uses the knowledge and skills he/she has acquired in the field of Turkish language and literature in joint studies carried out with other fields of social sciences.
