Goals Learning the elements of a sentence, their features, functions, and uses. Learning word groups, their features, functions, and uses. Understanding the elements and word groups of a sentence by analyzing sample sentences.
Course Content -Sentence elements (predicate, subject, object, indirect object, adverbial adjunct), non-sentence elements, and sample sentence analysis. -Noun and adjective phrases, along with participle, gerund, and infinitive groups. -Reduplicative, adpositional, conjunctional, interjectional, numeral, and title groups, and compound nouns. -Comprehensive sentence analysis applications through various texts.
