Goals The aim is to provide a general overview of the literary structures that developed under the political and social conditions of the reign of Sultan Abdulhamid II. It includes identifying the key concepts of this period, learning about the characteristics of texts written in the genres of poetry, novel, short story, and literary criticism, gaining knowledge about the lives and literary identities of the period's authors, and analyzing selected examples of poems, novels, and short stories.
Course Content -The formation, social background, and fundamental characteristics of Servet-i Fünun poetry. -The lives, artistic approaches, and works of Tevfik Fikret, Cenab Şahabeddin, Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil, Mehmed Rauf, Hüseyin Cahit Yalçın, Ahmed Şuayb, and Ahmet Hikmet Müftüoğlu.
