Goals The aim of this course is to advance the knowledge and skills acquired in previous design studios and enable students to address complex architectural problems in a multidimensional way. The course aims to develop an integrated design approach that evaluates context, function, user, environment, structure, and representation together. Students are expected to employ conceptual thinking, research, analysis, synthesis, and architectural project development skills at an advanced level.
Course Content Within the scope of the course, students are expected to develop a comprehensive architectural project based on a defined design problem. The process includes site analysis, user requirements, functional schemes, conceptual approach, spatial organization, mass–form relations, structural considerations, and environmental data. The course is conducted through research, sketching, diagramming, model-making, sheet production, and verbal presentations. Critiques, interim evaluations, and jury reviews are used throughout the semester to improve the project.
