Goals Definition of sport psychology, its basic concepts, historical development, purpose and current study, areas, cognitive, affective and personality factors affecting performance in sports, psychological training, competition, personality in sports, anxiety, attention and concentration, leadership and group dynamism in sports, motivation in sports, Examines the reasons for exercising, explores the possibilities to improve performance, and obtains information about aggression in sports.

Week Topics/Applications Method
1. Week The definition of psychology, its trends, the techniques used in psychology and its sub-fields are briefly explained. The definition of sports psychology, which is a sub-field of psychology, is made and basic terminology is given. A brief history of the development of sports psychology in the world and in our country is given.
2. Week The systematic studies required for psychological preparation are presented as a basis from the start of an athlete to the club. Awareness is raised about how and where and how to use individual recognition techniques.
3. Week Personality development is briefly mentioned. Freud's personality layers and stages of personality development are transferred. The importance of these stages, especially for those who are new to sports, and what the trainer should pay attention to by evaluating this information are evaluated interactively with sample events.
4. Week Erikson's psychosocial personality theory, personality development according to ages, the development of basic sense of trust, the effect of self-confidence in athletes on performance, and the work that a trainer should do to improve self-confidence in athletes.
5. Week The definition of motivation, its types, Maslow's hierarchy of needs, the relationship between needs and motivation, and the necessary conditions for a good motivation are given with examples.
6. Week The psychological symptoms of sufficient, excessive and insufficient motivation, what the trainer should do for sufficient motivation, the symptoms of stress and overtraining in over-motivation, and the psychological support that the trainer should do in these situations are explained.
7. Week The concepts of stress-anxiety fear are introduced. Statefulness, anxiety, and symptoms are evaluated. An interactive awareness is created about how the trainer should follow the correct approaches to cope with stress.
8. Week Midterm examination
9. Week Situations that may be caused by the trainer and have a negative effect on the athlete's performance are evaluated. How the trainer should do introspection about the trainer's personality, expectations, emotions and their effects on the performance of the athlete are communicated interactively.
10. Week Focus of control, internal and external focus and their effect on success, evaluation of the focus of athletes and ways of developing the right approach are explained.
11. Week What is a group, group dynamism, developing the consciousness of being a group, the stages of group dynamism, Muzaffer Şerif's research in social psychology is mentioned. The principles of creating team spirit and the role of the employees in the team are evaluated.
12. Week In providing motivation and achieving peak performance, the concepts of reward and punishment, examples of reward and punishment and their results in terms of performance are evaluated interactively.
13. Week How should the development of self-management and management skills be in athletes engaged in team and individual sports and the effect of this on success is evaluated interactively. General stages of mental training and its implementation are briefly mentioned.
14. Week Raising awareness about the psychological problems that can be seen in athletes and how the coaching approach should be, the importance of correct communication in both problem situations and performance is conveyed.
15. Week Age characteristics for children and young athletes, how should a correct communication be, the importance of cooperation with the family, the importance of establishing cooperation with the child and family in terms of motivation and peak performance are evaluated interactively.
16. Week Final Exam
