Goals To enable the student to know the features of Turkish, to use the language correctly and effectively and to express himself better in the society.
Course Content Features of Turkish in terms of structure and meaning, basic works, ways of expressing oneself in society, using language correctly and effectively.

1 The purpose of the course and the operation plan, understand the definition of language and its place in human life, know the differences between speech and writing language
2 Understand the properties of language, language-society and language-culture relations; know reading and understanding methods
3 Knows the structure of Turkish language and its place among language families on earth, dialect-accent-dialect; understand the use of punctuation marks
4 See the prominent works in the historical development of the Turkish language, know the spelling rules
5 Know the sound features of the Turkish language, understand what culture is and the elements that do not change
6 Knows the Turkish language's production and shooting suffixes, comprehends the properties of poetry genre with examples.
7 Knows the word types, understands the characteristics of the novel and story with examples
8 Knows the phrases, learns the methods of preparing homework-projects; comprehend the properties of classical fictional genres such as fairy tales, fables and mesnevi.
9 Knows the elements of the sentence and sentence types, has information about the useful texts such as theater and script, and sees the preparations for writing
10 Understands the characteristics of paragraph and text, knows the functional types such as articles and criticisms
11 Knows the properties of the words in terms of meaning, knows the functional types such as essays and jokes, sees communication errors in daily life with examples
12 Students will have information about idioms, proverbs and vocabulary of Turkish language, recognize expression disorders with examples
13 Knows the current problems of Turkish language, comprehends the principles of effective and good speaking.
