| Goals | To understand the importance of language in the life of the individual and the life of the Turkish language and to teach the historical periods of Turkish language; To be able to grasp the sound and shape structure of Turkish and to develop students' ability to express what they have heard, read, see and think in a planned, effective and fluent way. |
| Course Content | - Knows the definition of language, has an idea about the place and importance of language as a social institution in the life of the society, language and the language of culture and language is the difference between thought. - Learns the place of Turkish language among the world languages. He realizes the riches and subtleties of Turkish. He learns the difference between Turkish language and other languages. - Have knowledge about the development and historical periods of Turkish language. |

Knows the definition of language, understands the place and importance of language as a social institution in national life, and recognizes the connection between language and culture, and language and thought. 2. Learns the place of the Turkish language among world languages, recognizes the richness and subtleties of Turkish, and knows the differences between Turkish and other languages. 3. Has knowledge about the development and historical periods of the Turkish language. 4. Has knowledge about the current state and areas of spread of the Turkish language. 5. Understands the phonetic features and rules of Turkish and knows how these rules are used in written expression. 6. Has knowledge about the structural features of Turkish. 7. Calculates the effects of words that cause linguistic pollution in their environment on the language, and recognizes the influence of culture on language. 8. Knows the morphological structure of Turkish and uses spelling and punctuation marks correctly. 9. Speaks Turkish with a correct, beautiful, and successful style, and develops the ability to express oneself. 10. They will be able to give presentations in front of an audience, express their knowledge and thoughts at a level that others can understand, and use effective communication. 11. They will develop the habit of using dictionaries and style guides. 12. In their academic theses (undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral), they will use the Turkish language within the framework of thesis writing rules. 13. They will gain the ability to analyze literary and scientific texts and take notes. 14. They will recognize idioms and proverbs and use these expressions in oral and written communication. |
