Goals This course aims to provide information about the importance of polymers in our daily lives, fundamental terminology in polymer chemistry, polymer naming, synthesis, and physical and chemical behavior.
Course Content Introduction and definitions, Classification of polymers, Thermal behavior of polymers, Mechanical properties of polymers, Solubility properties of polymers, Molecular weight and molecular weight distribution, Molecular weight and distribution determination, Polymerization reactions; Participation Polymerization, Condensation Polymerization, Polymerization methods; Special Polymerization Reactions, General properties of polymers, Structure and properties of base polymers.
