Goals This course aims to teach the language and grammar features of Ottoman Turkish, introduce words borrowed from Arabic and Persian into Ottoman Turkish, and read Ottoman Turkish texts.
Course Content This course aims to introduce the fundamental writing system and linguistic structure of Ottoman Turkish. Beginning with the alphabet, orthography, and letter combinations, the content explores the spelling characteristics of Turkish, Arabic, and Persian elements. The primary focus of the course is to develop the ability to fluently read and analyze printed texts by mastering grammatical rules and suffix structures.
