Goals Teaching fundamental principles of engineering mechanics; ensuring understanding of basic engineering concepts; providing awareness of element behavior; developing analytical and synthetic skills.
Course Content 1) To make basic mechanical knowledge applicable to solving equilibrium problems of rigid bodies and different structures. 2) To gain the ability to understand and solve engineering problems. 3) To find the centers of gravity of composite systems. 4) To calculate the reaction of load-bearing systems and supports. 5) To calculate the moments of inertia of sections. 6) To calculate displacements under the influence of axial force. 7) To design bars under the influence of axial force. 8) To calculate shear stresses. 9) To design beams under the influence of simple bending.
