Goals The aim of the Art History course is to explain how art has undergone a process of development and transformation throughout human history, to provide information about important artistic movements in history, and to offer students new perspectives, particularly in understanding and interpreting art after the modernization process (postmodern art).
Course Content The course outcomes should be written in at least 7 items covering knowledge, skills, attitudes, and competencies. This program should enable students to: 1-Develop a personality with visual sensitivity, a broad perspective on the world, openness to innovation, and diverse tastes, 2-Apply the critical approach they use when examining works of art to other objects that make up the cultural environment, 3-Acquire the ability to appreciate artists, 4-Gain a living awareness of art history, 5- To analyze the cultural works, thoughts, beliefs, and national character of their own geography alongside universal works, 6- To develop an awareness of loving and preserving historical works, 7- To develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that enable them to evaluate the spirit and aesthetic effort inherent in works of art and the message the artist wants to convey to the people of the world. 8- To instill in students a sensitivity to observe life and nature. 9- To develop students' perception and imagination. 10- To develop students' ability to use their knowledge in other areas. 11- To enable students to recognize the expressive richness of different techniques.
