Goals This course teaches students general concepts in occupational health and safety. It teaches the causes of work accidents and occupational diseases that may arise in the workplace, the methods of protection from work accidents and occupational diseases, and the supervision of practices in the workplace under the occupational health and safety legislation. Learns the concept of danger and risk and teaches risk assessment.
Course Content This course teaches students general concepts in occupational health and safety. It covers the causes of workplace accidents and occupational diseases, methods of preventing workplace accidents and occupational diseases, and the monitoring of workplace practices in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations. Students learn about the concepts of hazard and risk and are taught how to conduct risk assessments.
