Goals The course aims to the students a general knowledge pulping raw materials and pulping processes.

0 Summarize the effects of wood properties on pulp and paper quality. Define and explain preparation of wood to mill scale pulping operation. Especially barking, storing, chipping operations. define and explain the effects of process variables of mechanical pulping on pulp quality. explain general aspects of chemical pulping and optimize process variables of chemical pulping. make calculations relatated with preparation of pulping digester. define and explain environmental and economic importance of waste paper utilization in the paper industry

3. Week Kağıtlık odunun makroskopik, ultramikroskopik, anatomik ve kimyasal özellikleri. Kağıtlık odunda kalite değişkenlikleri.
4. Week Kağıtlık odunun hazırlanması: kabuk soyma ve yongalama işlemleri
5. Week Taş mekanik odun hamuru üretimi, Video gösterisi: bir kağıt fabrikasında mekanik hamur üretimi
6. Week Rafinörde mekanik odun hamuru üretimi.
7. Week Yarıkimyasal hamur üretimi/Arasınav
