| Goals | The goal is to teach the students how to analyze the relationship of art to society with reference to contemporary theories of art and society. |
| Course Content | The course aims to cover the changes in modern societies in the second half of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century from a critical point of view. Subjects: The connections between consumer capitalism and culture industry; the new occupational, professional and life style patterns; the new social movements and politics of identity; post-structuralist, postmodern, deconstructionist and feminist theorists. |
