| Goals | Presenting knowledge on what is art, students will be familiar with the tools necessary for looking at a work of art. Beside the compositional elements of formal production, the media such as painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, and film will be defined and discussed for the sake of of visual literacy. |
| Course Content | This is a course to introduce students to the definitions of art, the differentiation of arts from crafts and compositional elements. The course will help the development of the idea of art and art history providing students numerous samples of works of art to understand and interprete art making from cave art to recent trends. |
