Goals The course aims to introduce specific themes and arguments in the history of aesthetics as a discipline of philosophy.
Course Content The course involves subjects such as the nature of artistic representation, the acts of design and creation, the expression of feelings in art, the value of the artwork, the intention of the artist and the position of spectator. It is planned to be brought about a conscious participation for aesthetic experience as much as knowledge, which leads the student to get a new idea for art and artworks.

1 Student gets basic knowledge on aesthetics as a discipline of philosophy
2 The course helps student to develop interpretation and perception abilities as an individual having an aesthetic conscious.
3 Student defines artworks by an aesthetic conscious.
4 Student gets an awareness for the importance of the facts such as imagination, fiction, and emotion in the process of understanding an artwork.
5 Student is able to understand the ways of perception and interpretation of the world.
6 Student learns about the basic aesthetic judgements such as taste and appreciation.
7 The knowledge on the relation among artist, work of art, audience and art institutions is learned and the skill of interpretation.
