| Goals | The course aims to study the concepts of modern, modernity, modernism, postmodernism and to describe particularly the art movements and problems of 20th century evaluating the position of art in the society of consumption. |
| Course Content | This is a course to deal with the new technologies and modes of production in the course of modern and beyond art movements. It also objectifies the basic concepts and methods of modern and postmodern art, culture of the late capitalist society, the end of great narratives and history out of the artists, works, and trends. The second semester of the course includes the movements from 1960s to present day and the contemporary subjects such as museology, curatorship, advertisement. |
