Goals To teach the features of phonetics within the scope of Old Turkish, Karakhanid Turkish, Khwarezm Turkish, Chagatai Turkish, Kipchak Turkish and Old Anatolian Turkish periods of Turkish language.
Course Content 1. Knows the vowel changes in the historical course of the Turkish language. 2. Knows the consonant changes in the historical course of the Turkish language. 3. Knows the consonant harmony in the historical course of the Turkish language. 4. Knows the harmony of thickness and thinness in the historical course of the Turkish language. 5. Knows the harmony of flatness and roundness in the historical course of the Turkish language. 6. Knows the sound events such as the rise and fall of vowels in the historical course of the Turkish language. 7. Knows the phonetic phenomena such as consonance and assimilation in the historical course of the Turkish language.
Learning Outcomes
# Öğrenme Kazanımı
1 Evaluate the texts of Turkish Language and Literature from the beginning to the present in terms of literary and philological. Finds the opportunity to compare with western literature texts.
2 By examining the Turkish language in terms of phonetics, morphology, syntax and semantics; Reaches the ability to use Turkish correctly, beautifully and clearly.
3 Gains information about the prosody, rhyme and verse forms of Old Turkish Literature. Knows the periods of this literature, the poets and the works of these poets. He tries to read and understand the works in Arabic letters.
4 Identify the main features of the periods in the history of New Turkish Literature, reveal the new forms and themes that played a role in the period, the new literary language and imagism, and the new author-text-reader relations; compares it with the old one and determines its effects on the future.
5 Recognizes the classical and modern literary movements from the past to the present and evaluates the effects of these movements on the forms of expression.
6 Develops the ability to perceive, criticize, think and reason about how to analyze a text.
7 Gains knowledge and access to texts related to narrative genres in Turkish Folk Literature.
8 Have the basic knowledge and skills of being able to do research and work at an academic level in the field of Turkish Language and Literature.
9 Have the skills of creating, organizing, transmitting, storing, presenting and sharing information in the field of Turkish language and literature by using information and internet technologies.
10 Knows the alphabets in which historical and contemporary Turkish dialects are written, can make linguistics and grammar studies by transferring the texts written in these alphabets to transcription and Turkey Turkish written language.
11 Can use the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Turkish language and literature in studies carried out jointly with other fields of social sciences.
12 Gains the awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning.
