Goals The aim of the course is to enable students to develop an understanding of how to teach handball technique and tactic skills and to prepare students to be a good trainer with the these knowledge and with planing exercise techniques
Course Content This course provides the students with the knowledge of contemporary handball; handball for education, game rules; dimensions of field and equipment; Warm-up, on-the-Ball skills; off-the-ball movements; catching and throwing; dribbling; pass and pass types; scoring; ındividual and team defense and counter attack

1. Week History of handball in Turkey and World. Practice: ball-handling exercises
2. Week Theoretical: international handball game rules practice: dripling and pass techniques
3. Week Theoretical: international handball game rules Practice: game plain that related technique, dripling, pass technique and throwing technique forms.
4. Week Theoretical: individual, group and team attack practice: throwing technique, pass technigue and active passing
5. Week Theoretical: individual, group and team attack practice: throwing technique, pass technigue and active passing
6. Week Theoretical: individual, group and team defence practice: throwing technique, passing related to throwing drills, individual defence exercises
7. Week Theoretical: team attack and tactics practice: two, three and four group attack, fake exercises
8. Week Midterm examination
9. Week Theoretical: defence systems (adavantage and disadvantages) Practice: individual, group and team defence
10. Week Theoretical: selection of goalkeeper, game rules of goalkeeper, goalkeeper techniques Practice: goalkeeper techniques and goalkeeper drills and group attack
11. Week Theoretical: defence and offence with less players; Practice: 1:1, 2:1, 2:2, 3:2, 3:3... offence and defence drills
12. Week Theoretical: selection to ability; How players physical and motor ability should be according to game area? Practice: offence drills according to players area; wing-left back and pivot drills, left back- centre back and pivot with drills
13. Week theoretical ; group offence and defence drills practice: group attack and defence drills
14. Week Theoretical: combine defence types Practice: 5:5 and 6: attack-defence (match forms), 5:1 and 3:2:1 defence drills
15. Week Theoretical: tempo game mentality, fast break, fast break types and fast break level Practice: fast break drills, fast break starting, free throw tactics, 7 m throwing, 5:5 - 6:6 match
