Goals To contribute to the correct and complete understanding and assimilation of the founding philosophy and basic principles of the Republic of Turkey.
Course Content The reforms that are the foundation of the new Turkish state and its historical origin; The efforts to establish the republican regime; Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's domestic and foreign policy; The transfer of single-party rule in Turkey; Attempts to transition to a multi-party system and its results; Geopolitics and Turkey's geopolitical situation; The threat of psychological action against university youth; Definition and importance of Kemalism; The formation of the Kemalist Thought System and its basic features; Atatürk and his intellectual life; Ataturk and Economics; Secularism and religion
