Goals The aim of this course is to provide non-thesis master’s students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills related to the scientific research process. Within the scope of the course, students are expected to develop competencies in defining research problems, selecting appropriate research methods, conducting data collection and analysis, and presenting research findings in a scientific report format. The course aims to enable students to make research-based decisions in both academic and professional contexts.
Course Content This course covers the fundamental stages and application-oriented methods of scientific research. The course content includes an introduction to scientific research, defining research problems and objectives, research types and designs, quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, basic statistical analyses, software used in data analysis, interpretation of research findings, academic reporting, and research ethics. Throughout the course, students gain hands-on experience in the research process through applied studies and sample research projects.
