Goals The aim of the course is to develop critical thinking and scholarly discussion skills by examining theoretical approaches, critical debates, and contemporary issues in the field of children’s literature from an academic perspective.
Course Content The course examines theoretical debates and critical approaches in children’s literature, focusing on key themes such as ideology, representation, culture, value transmission, and the concept of childhood through selected texts. In addition, current research and contemporary discussion topics in the field are evaluated to enhance students’ critical analysis and scholarly debate skills.
