Goals To introduce students world literature.
Course Content The reading and analysis of carefully translated and widely recognized books from world literature into Turkish. A selection from the world classics should be examined according to contemporary literary analysis methods, without resorting to rote summary, traditional character analysis, and description. Critical reading practices should be applied by using the tips gained in the Reading Education course.

6. Week Dante and Shakespeare, their Works and effects.
7. Week Midterm exam
8. Week Representatives and examples of Humanism and Classicism movements in world literature.
9. Week Representatives and examples of Romanticism and Realism movements in world literature.
10. Week Representatives and examples ofNaturalism and Parnacism movements in world literature.
11. Week Representatives and examples of Symbolism in world literature and emphasizing the importance of the movement through symbolist the examples of symbolist poetry.
12. Week Representatives and examples of Futurism,Dadaism and Surrealism movements in world literature
13. Week Explaining Existentialism and its perceptional way of human being.
14. Week Final Exam
