Goals The aim of this course is to make students understand foreign language teaching approaches, methods and techniques, to discuss how they reflect in the classroom and to examine the foreign language teaching curriculum for elementary schools
Course Content Basic concepts concerning foreign language teaching; foreign language teaching for young learners; communicative competence and communicative language teaching; techniques for teaching foreign language to young learners; how to teach foreign language skills; how to teach foreign language structure; feedback and assessment in foreign language teaching; CEFR and proficieny levels; the foreign language teaching curriculum for elementary schools; developing and applying sample lessons.
