Goals The aim of this course is to teach the physical, human and economic characteristics of Turkey and to understand the place and importance of Turkey on the world to students.
Course Content Location and location of Turkey: geopolitical and geostrategic situation and characteristics of Turkey, mathematical location properties, special location properties (neighbors), country groups properties (political, military, economic, cultural organizations), physical characteristics of Turkey (climate, hydrographic characteristics, soil structure, vegetation cover), socioeconomic characteristics (population, settlement, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, energy, industry, transport, tourism).

1 Turkey's comments and their impact and results of geological and geomorphological features.
2 It evaluates the hydrographic characteristics of Turkey, its main streams, lakes and their marine characteristics, as well as their effects and consequences.
3 Assess their effects and consequences of Turkey's climate.
4 He knows the flora and fauna in Turkey, and their characteristics and distribution, explains the importance of conservation.
5 He knows characteristics of Turkey's population, distribution, can comment on the issue.
6 The features of the settlements describe their types and their distribution.
7 Turkey's territory and with their properties and distribution of plant assets, evaluate the importance of conservation.
8 He knows features of Turkey's economy and resources explains the policies.
9 He defines the basic concepts related to geopolitics.
