Goals To be able to understand the basic drawing principles related to technical drawing. To be able to draw any surface and geometric shape. To be able to dimension the drawings of two-dimensional shapes and three-dimensional objects. To be able to draw shapes from given measurements. To be able to read technical drawings.
Course Content Explaining the place and importance of technical drawing in the industry, introducing drawing tools and equipment, introducing lines and their types. Introducing scales and applying them on simple geometric drawings. Polygon drawings and tangent applications. Introducing and classifying the concepts of view extraction and projection. Geometric drawing applications. Introducing basic views and their types. Basic view extraction applications. Definition and importance of sectioning. Introduction of section lines and angles and scanning principles. Section types and applications. Introduction of dimensioning rules. Dimensioning applications.
