Goals The aim of this lesson is to enable students to learn about the laws of special education, to keep anecdotal records, to develop a rough assessment form, to use the appropriate behavior change technique by determining target behavior, to plan and apply the teaching of a skill and a concept, and to apply them with the help of appropriate tools and equipment.
Course Content Determining the work to be done in one day in the practice school, preparing the lesson plans, applying the activities in the prepared plans with various teaching methods-techniques and tools, measuring and evaluating, filling out a self-evaluation report about the applications in this course, preparing an application file.

Lesson Plan (Weekly Topics)
Week Topics/Applications Method
1. Week The instruction of the practicum study and the practicum schools is explained at the meeting arranged with the trainees.
2. Week The trainees makes observation in the classroom to collect information about the weekly schedule, students, and physical arrangements.
3. Week Trainees makes first assessment for two students by using check list
4. Week Trainees assess the student at least in two different lessons for 15 minutes by collecting anecdotes. By anecdotal evidence trainees determine the target behavior.
5. Week According to first assessment results trainees determine 1 target behavior problem and 6 target behavior.
6. Week For the target behavior problem trainees collect data for the profile of the behavior (by using the suitable observation technique for two days in every lesson).
7. Week Prepares criterion referenced test for the targets needs to be acquired
8. Week Mid Term Exam
9. Week According to the result of ABC analysis trainees collect data for baseline assessment
10. Week Writes a report for the behavior problem including all the assessment that they did.
11. Week Collects baseline data for the behaviors that need to be acquired
12. Week According to the baseline data trainees prepare individualized instruction plan.
13. Week Begins to instruction, continues to collect data in instruction settings and reports data by using graphs.
