Goals The aim of this course is to enable graduate students to understand the fundamental research approaches, methods, and data collection techniques used in educational research. Students will explore the stages of the scientific research process, compare qualitative and quantitative methods, develop research problems, and design ethical research proposals.
Course Content The course covers the scientific research process, development of research problems, variables and hypotheses, qualitative and quantitative research designs, construction of data collection instruments, sampling methods, validity and reliability, approaches to data analysis, and research ethics. Students will gain practical experience in developing research proposals.
