Goals The objective of the Introduction to Logistics course is to introduce students studying logistics to the fundamental concepts related to logistics and provide them with knowledge. It also aims to provide students with a foundation in the concepts used in logistics to prepare them for courses in subsequent semesters.
Course Content In international trade, transportation and logistics, basic concepts, logistics, international freight, carriers and freight forwarders, third party logistics, supply chain management, international trade, carriers and freight forwarders, the role of the types of contracts, logistics service provider (carrier, Freight Forwarder) activities, logistics service provider type, logistics service sağlatıc business environment, transport organization, transportation determining the type, carrier selection, international transportation and logistics management basic trends, 3rd party logistics business environment and the main areas of activity, combined transport, strategic alliances, environmental management, supply chain management, e-business and information systems.
