| Goals | Course Objective To teach of wood finishing process and their application techniques on to wooden furniture and decoration elements. |
| Course Content | • Definition, purpose and history of top surface processes in wood finishing. • Properties of wooden materials in wood finishing process and preparing of its for top surface processes. • Purpose of staining wood and staining techniques. • Importance of bleaching process on wood and bleaching techniques. • Importance of organic coatings and fundamentals of film formation. • Varnishes and application methods on wooden materials. • Obtaining knowledge about wood materials before the applying varnishes, Introduction to bleaching methods, applying bleaching methods preparing the varnish layer manage to workshop. • Put in use knowledge/skill acquired during the course in work environment effectively. |
