Goals The aim of this course is to examine the last years of the Ottoman state in terms of issues, actors, important events and structural changes.
Course Content This course will examine Tanzimat reforms, capitalist economic transformation, II. Abdülhamit period, the II. constitutional period, the First World War, the War of Independence, and the historical process begining from the modernization process of the Ottoman Empire to the declaration of the Republic, together with its political, economic, diplomatic and cultural dimensions.
