Goals | The main aim of this course is; to bring the basic language patterns of students at the entrance level to A1 level. |
Course Content | When students complete this course: Knowledge: - They can have basic knowledge of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation at the introductory level (A1). Skills: - (Reading) They can acquire basic reading comprehension skills, read simple texts, grasp the main ideas of the texts, examine the concept and structure of the paragraph, understand its role in the text, and recognize basic English text types. - (Writing) They can write short essays on a specified topic, express their opinions in writing about the topic of the unit, summarize short texts (such as newspaper articles), and be aware of spelling and punctuation rules. - (Listening) They can have the ability to understand what they are listening to, recognize grammatical patterns in speech, distinguish different types of discourse (daily speech, formal speech, interview, talk show, private speech, etc.), fill the gap by following the instructions of the book. (Listening for the basic poor, listening for details, etc.) - (Speaking) Answer short questions on familiar topics such as “Introducing oneself, Family information, Things they like”, create short dialogues and express their opinions on the discussion topics of the units and words appropriate to their level (Expressing their basic needs, asking questions about directions or directions.) Competence: - They can communicate with the learned material at a minimal level. |
