Goals To reveal the basic concepts and main decision issues in the field of Production and Operations management, to show appropriate solution ranges. To introduce and apply the main methods and tools in production/operations management.

Learning Outcomes
# Öğrenme Kazanımı
1 To be able to explain the definitions of Production and Management concepts, the historical development of Production Management, the concept of planning, and its place within the business organization.
2 To determine what types of inputs are needed for the goods and services to be produced. To be able to distinguish between different production system concepts and types (Product/Goods-oriented, Process/Workshop-oriented, Assembly line, etc.) and analyze the basic characteristics of these systems
3 To be able to define the success (performance) metrics used in Production Management and conduct analyses to increase resource efficiency.
4 To be able to apply basic demand forecasting methods and integrate these forecasting results into short and medium-term production planning processes.
5 Knowledge of topics such as location selection, inventory management, and production planning.
