Goals To understand the buildings that have built by Hellenic civilization between 480-330 BC and to represent the development process of Classical architecture to the students clearly.
Course Content Political events in the Classical Period The Urbanization in the Classical Period: Hippodamic System Defence systems and City Wall Structures in the Classical Period The Agora in the Classical Period Buildings in the Classical Period: Bouleuterions, Prythenaions, Ecclesiastherions The Gymnasion and Stadion in the Classical Period The civil architectural construction in the Classical Period The intrduce in the Temple architecture and its architects in the Classical Period The Temple architecture in the 5th Century BC (Greece, Western Anatolia) The Temple architecture in the 5th Century BC (Southern Italy, Sicily) Temples and the formal buildings on Acropolis at Athens Temples in the 4th Century BC
