Goals To ensure that archeology students will be better equipped to deal with Classical Archeology issues in the coming years. To recognize the civilizations that lived in the Anatolian geography before.
Course Content To determine the expansion areas of civilizations established in Anatolia. Exploring the borders of Anatolia's ancient regions together with historical geography.

1 To know names and boundaries of the ancient cities and regions; both ancient and modern names of rivers, lakes, mountaions and main cities.
2 To know the main historical events which effect the ancient regions in Anatolia
3 To classify and construe the historical events which effect the ancient regions in Anatolia
4 To know the ancient and modern literature about course of Historical geography in Anatolia

1. Week Introduction to the course, research history on the geopolitical and geographical structure of Anatolia
2. Week The basicly events and traces of historical geography of Anatolia at the end of the 2nd millenium BC- early 1st millenium BC, subsequently appeared ancient regions.
3. Week The names, boundaries and histories of ancient regions which appeared in 1st Millenium BC.
4. Week History, boundary and main cities of Caria Region
5. Week Ionia Region in Historical Geography of Anatolia
6. Week Main cities in Ionia and their historical geography
7. Week History, boundary and main cities of Aeolis Region
8. Week Midterm
9. Week History, boundary and main cities of Lycia Region
10. Week History, boundary and main cities of Phrygia Region
