Goals | Definition of basic concepts related to urbanization and environmental policies; Explaining the development of urbanization and environmental problems in the world; Explaining the historical development and legislation regarding the city, urbanization, and environmental problems in Turkiye; Discussing the problems and solution suggestions on the subject; Evaluating what urban and environmental problems are and their emergence processes, examining and revealing the urban-environmental policies being followed in this area. |
Course Content | This course assesses urbanization's environmental causes and effects at either the global or local levels. It discusses issues like mega-urbanization and over-urbanization and the regional circumstances that give rise to them. It also looks at how institutions, social movements, and cities contribute to the solution of environmental issues. |
