Goals To apply the principles of the care to the elderly by gaining theoretical information about problems arising from aging and solution of these problems, to apply the care of chronic diseases, preparing and implementing daily care plan on elderly care, to know medication practices and follow-up , to grasp the appropriate care practices for elderly individuals, recognizing institutions related to elderly care and interpreting the working conditions, being aware of the importance of a systematic study, to gain the ability to communicate with health care institutions as quickly as possible.
Course Content Elderly care for bedridden, elderly care for terminal phase, applications for dermotological problems on elderly, problems and applications for cardiovascular system, problems and applications for respiratory system, provision of elderly mobilization, pressure sores and wound care for elderly, hot and cold application for elderly, ache and sleep, the education about aged care homes, hospital units and their application areas, students’ seminar presentations.

2 Carry out pharmaceutical applications and follow-up them and observe their effects on elderly individuals .
