Goals The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in home care services for the elderly, and to enable them to perform care, monitoring, and support processes safely and effectively.
Course Content Development and importance of home care services; ethical and legal issues in home care; telehealth applications and use of technology; home visits and care planning; nutrition in elderly individuals; home care of chronic diseases (diabetes, heart failure, cancer); infection control; palliative care and spiritual support; home care practices for stroke, respiratory diseases, and stoma care.

4 Perform nutrition, infection control, and basic care practices for elderly individuals.

1 Have a sound knowledge of Turkish language, read and understand formal and technical documents in Turkish, and write documents in Turkish when necessary.
