Goals The aim is to help children understand the developmental characteristics and educational needs of sick children, to introduce appropriate educational approaches that support development during the illness process, and to develop skills in applying these approaches.
Course Content The mental states of children receiving inpatient treatment; children, family, personnel interaction, hospital games and play rooms, hospital schools; Preparing children and their families for hospital education, child development follow-up units and studies conducted in these units, development follow-up and evaluation techniques.

2 It analyzes the effects of the disease process on children's developmental areas.
3 It assesses the psychological characteristics of sick children and their adaptation process to the hospital.
4 It applies appropriate approaches to preparing children for diagnosis, treatment, and surgery.
5 It plans social support and communication processes for the sick child and their family.
6 It recognizes the importance of play and educational activities in supporting the development of children hospitalized in the hospital and develops appropriate practices.
