Goals The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the psychological development processes of childhood and the individual and environmental factors that affect mental health; and to provide the knowledge and skills to recognize, assess, and develop appropriate approaches to behavioral and adjustment problems seen in children.
Course Content This course covers psychological development processes during childhood, basic concepts of mental health, and factors affecting child mental health. It examines behavioral and adjustment problems seen in children, their causes, and approaches to resolving them. It also focuses on family, school, and environmental interactions that support healthy development, as well as preventive mental health services for children.
