Goals To make people understand the importance of the language in the life of individuals and the nation, to teach the phonetic and structural features of the Turkish language, to introduce the Turkish language closely with its historical periods, and to expand the vocabulary of students.
Course Content "Language" as a means of oral and written communication, historical periods of Turkish, phonetic and structural features of Turkish, current problems of Turkish, sample literary and scientific texts.

1 Knows the definition and basic characteristics of language, understands the place and importance of language as a social institution in the life of the nation, and realizes the connection between language-culture and language-thought.
2 Learns the place of the Turkish language among world languages, realizes the richness and subtleties of the Turkish language.
3 Knows the historical development of the Turkish language.
4 Knows the current state of the Turkish language, its contemporary dialects and areas of expansion.
