Goals The aim of this course is to prepare doctoral students for the qualifying examination, equip them with in-depth knowledge of the literature in their field, and guide them in developing an original dissertation proposal. Students will analyze key theories and current debates, engage with methodological approaches, and present their proposals in accordance with academic standards.
Course Content The course focuses on theoretical and methodological preparation for the doctoral qualifying examination. Students will work on literature reviews, formulation of research questions, selection of methodologies, dissertation writing techniques, ethical principles, and academic publishing processes. Each student is expected to prepare and present their dissertation proposal at the end of the semester.
