Goals This course aims to get acquainted with the first theories of cinema, which include historical aesthetic debates ranging from literature to painting and dynamic research of social sciences.
Course Content Cinema has placed it in the center of aesthetic, economic and social debates since its inception. This course is organized to meet the first studies on cinema besides historical aesthetic discussions and to give a theoretical view to cinema. Among the names that produced the first systematic thoughts on cinema, alternative perspectives that prevailed until the 1970s will be within the scope of this course.
