Goals | The objective of this course is to convey how the political, economic and cultural structures of societies affect the art; the theatre and theatre theories in particular, and to give the students new perspectives in order to generate alternative solutions to evaluate the theatre problems of our times. |
Course Content | This course focuses on the conception of theatre parallel to the Renaissance humanism in Italy, Spain, France and England. It also covers Classicism in 17th century, new interpretetations in 18th century, thoughts in the second half of the 18th century, which prepares Romanticism, and romantic theatre applications. |
