Goals The purpose of the course is familiarising the students with the basic properties of stage and teach them practically how a stage work is created step by step.
Course Content Throughout the course the basic elements of staging such as preparatory work, analysis and interpretation of the play text, work on staging, work on acting, stage order, plot, director’s notebook, etc. is discussed and these elements are practiced on selected plays.

10 Following the contemporary developments in the field of performing arts in Turkey and abroad, has the knowledge concerning national and international values.
11 Improves his/her skills in critical and creative thinking, as well as expressing his/her thoughts in oral, embodied and written forms.
12 Has the knowledge of theatre’s connections with other arts (literature, cinema, opera, music, dance, painting, sculpture, etc.), as well as social sciences (philosophy, anthropology, sociology, aesthetics, art history, political sciencee, etc.) and makes research and production in his/her own field by using this interdisciplinary viewpoint.
13 Uses the up-to-date information and communication technologies that are required in the art of drama.
14 Improves the skill of connecting with the social, economical, political and especially cultural heritage of the history of civilisations and spends effort to make these values prevalent within the social environment s/he lives through projects and activities that s/he would prepare.
