1 Has knowledge about theories of social and cultural change.
2 Gain a critical and consistent ability to analyze the cultural change of the society in which he lives.
3 It identifies the socio-economic and political dynamics that lead to cultural change.
4 Compares the issues that arise between the cultural change process of the contemporary Turkey and the processes that lived in the previous periods and the problems that arise between the process and the living processes.
5 Evaluates pre-Islamic and post-Islamic periods of Turkish cultures comparatively.
6 Analyzes the process of transition from umma to nation state in Turkey in the context of cause-effect relationship.

11 The students Specific analyze tools for working with documents that are required for certain periods, historical texts (paleography, epigraphy, etc.), inscriptions and epitaphs, and gain the skills to use source texts in various languages.

13 The students gain the skills to use and the information bibliographical repertoires, archival inventories, information retrieval tools, such as electronic references.
