Goals The aim of this course is to teach students the concepts of cyber security, information security principles, system security mechanisms and current types of threats; to train individuals who can analyse security vulnerabilities, implement basic security measures and develop a sense of ethical responsibility.
Course Content This course covers fundamental cybersecurity concepts, information security principles (confidentiality, integrity, availability), threat and attack types, malware, operating system security, user and permission management, basic network security, firewalls, update and backup strategies. Practical sessions introduce basic security tools.
